MycorDip™Pt. (also called Mycor Pt. Root Dip) is used as a pre-plant root dip to inoculate bareroot and containerized tree seedlings with this beneficial ectomycorrhizal fungus and rhizosphere bacteria prior to field planting or potting.
Pt. (Pisolithus tinctorius) is a superior species of ectomycorrhizal fungus that will colonize the roots of Pine, Spruce, Hemlock, Fir, Larch, Cypress, Cedar, Oak, Beech, Birch, Hickory, Pecan, Willow, Eucalyptus, Chestnut and Basswood species under a broad range of growing conditions.
The spores of MycorDip Pt. are mixed with natural Yucca, seaweed extract and humic acids to enhance drought tolerance and root growth. It also contains six species of free-living rhizosphere bacteria that together fix nitrogen and solubilize phosphorus.
Uses
For use as an ectomycorrhizal root dip for the inoculation of specific tree species such as Birch and Beech. Contains fungi, hydrogel, and organic biocatalysts to improve transplant survival and subsequent growth.
Benefits
Minimizes transplant shock.
Improves establishment and survival rates.
Improvement of water- and nutrient absorption.
Mitigates the effects stress caused of drought, salinity and extremes of soil pH.
